In 2016 AMA moved into a new facility of over two thousand square metres at Via Tortona 7, in central Milan, where more than ninety people work today. The same site now hosts a new production laboratory that joins our long-standing prototype development and industrialisation service.

Zona Tortona has long been Milan's design and fashion district: the natural place for a manufacture that dialogues every day with the style offices of the maisons.
Our spaces are organised to follow the product from the arrival of raw materials to shipping: dedicated areas for pattern-making, cutting, stitching, assembly, quality control and storage. Alongside them, an in-house raw-materials testing laboratory — where leathers and components are verified before entering production — and the new production laboratory allow AMA to follow the product from prototype development all the way to the finished piece, all within the same Via Tortona site.

Every leather, textile and metal component is verified in our in-house laboratory before entering production. Colour-fastness and abrasion tests, colour assessment in a light booth and ageing tests in a climatic chamber: nothing reaches the line without being measured.
