A story of three generations serving high-end fashion: from founder Mario Ziribotti's workshop to the contemporary manufacture on Via Tortona.
In the 1950s, with his Milanese workshop, Mario Ziribotti envisioned a new role for Italian manufacture: not just an executor, but a creative partner to fashion houses. This intuition gave rise to Ama S.r.l. and the idea of offering maisons a complete pattern-making and product development service.
Ama S.r.l. is founded by Mario Ziribotti, a man of great intuition and entrepreneurial vision. Drawing on a deep knowledge of the leather goods sector, he developed the idea of providing pattern-making and product development services to fashion companies.
AMA begins producing bags and leather goods on behalf of various Italian and Japanese names, as well as for retail. A reputation for rigour and quality takes root.
The first major leap forward: AMA enters into a close partnership with the Gucci family, which continues until the brand's acquisition by the Kering group.
AMA consolidates its position with significant collaborations with leading Italian and international luxury maisons. The second generation — the founder's son and daughter — takes the reins of the company.
AMA moves into a new facility of over two thousand square metres at Via Tortona 7, in the heart of Milan, where more than ninety people work today.
The arrival of the third generation opens a dynamic and innovative chapter: alongside its historic prototype development and industrialisation service, AMA opens a new production laboratory in the same Via Tortona site, extending the offer it can bring to the maisons.
«Decades of experience and deep knowledge of prototype development and industrialisation processes, combined with passion and technology, make Ama S.r.l. an important player in the leather goods industry.»
